About the Role

Job Summary:

The HVAC Technician will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, service, and repair requests associated with the AC system as requested by supervisory staff.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks on window A/C and split A/C systems, roof-mounted chillers, air handling units, and chilled water pumps.
  2. System Monitoring: Monitor and maintain the condition of HVAC systems and their components, including heating units, building exhaust fans, and ventilation units.
  3. Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine and preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the ongoing functioning of HVAC systems.
  4. Emergency Response: Respond to emergency and urgent matters related to HVAC systems.
  5. Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, and submit technical reports as required.
  6. Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with maintenance staff and other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination.
Requirements

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess a Trade Certificate in Air-Conditioning ventilation and a minimum of 2 years of experience as an HVAC Technician. They will also have basic knowledge of HVAC systems and controls, and be skilled in performing routine manual labor.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to use various hand and power tools common to the trade.
  • Ability to learn through observation and hands-on experience.
  • Ability to follow routine verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers.
