About the Position

This is an exciting opportunity for an Environmental Management Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our project management consultancy services, you will be responsible for supporting the integration of environmental and sustainability considerations into design specifications and criteria.

As part of this role, you will be responsible for organizing workshops and reviewing submittals, as well as construction plans for the project. You will also work closely with the project team to deliver on the client's environmental obligations and sustainability goals.

This includes formulating plans and methods to maintain compliance with environmental sustainability requirements and identifying any environmental risks to compliance with regulatory or certification requirements.

Main Responsibilities
  • Environmental Program Implementation: Support and advocate for the implementation of the Bechtel scope of project services-related sustainability and environmental management program.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Organize workshops and meetings with relevant stakeholders to solidify understanding of requirements, resolve issues in deliverables, provide further guidance or decisions as appropriate, and keep good records of discussions and decisions.
  • Risk Management: Formulate plans and methods to maintain compliance with environmental sustainability requirements and identify any environmental risks to compliance with regulatory or certification requirements.
  • Design Coordination: Oversee the work of designers as carried out with respect to environmental and sustainability requirements by coordinating with design consultants and construction contractors to resolve issues associated with application of LEED and other relevant ratings.
Qualifications
  • Required Qualifications: Level 26 requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience.
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Level 27 requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience. Possesses environmental-related certifications from national/international accrediting organizations/associations.
