Job Overview
SOC L1 analysts play a critical role in ensuring the continuous monitoring of security dashboards, alerts, and notifications within a 24/7 Security Operations Center (SOC) environment. Their responsibilities include delivering timely detection, analysis, and escalation of security incidents to clients as part of a managed SOC.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitoring of security dashboards, alerts, and notifications for potential security incidents.
  • Reviewing alerts from SIEM systems and other security monitoring tools to identify potential security threats.
  • Investigating alerts to determine if they are false positives and documenting findings and actions taken in incident tracking systems.
  • Contributing to the identification of emerging threats by staying updated on the latest security trends and supporting the team in updating detection rules and security policies as needed.
  • Following established SOPs and incident handling processes to ensure effective response to security incidents.

Qualifications
This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent work experience) along with familiarity with SIEM platforms, log analysis, or security monitoring tools. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, as is the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Additionally, knowledge of threat intelligence and detection methodologies, different security controls, and associated logs, network, endpoint, and web attacks, and their detection methods are necessary. Fluency in English is required.
