About the Role

Pinnacle Solutions, an Akima company, is seeking a skilled Aircraft Powertrain Specialist to join our team. As an Alaska Native Corporation, our mission extends beyond our federal projects as we support our shareholder communities in Alaska.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will perform maintenance, removal, installation, and inspections on aircraft systems, subsystems, and major components. They will also troubleshoot and repair issues, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our CH-47 aircraft.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities, including PMS, servicing, and lubrication.
  • Use and maintain specialized tools, equipment, and aircraft ground support equipment.
  • Prepare and review maintenance forms and records.
  • Apply corrosion preventative procedures and clean, preserve, and store powertrain and rotor components.
  • Requisition and maintain shop and bench stock for repair of CH-47 systems and subsystems.
  • Ensure compliance with established maintenance systems, processes, and procedures.
  • Provide on-the-job training and coaching to team members.

Requirements:

  • Eight (8) years' experience as an aircraft mechanic.
  • Successful completion of a U.S. Government armed forces CH-47 aircraft mechanic maintenance course or civilian equivalent training.
  • Proficient in the use of computer-hosted interactive technical manuals and aircraft maintenance forms.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Possess a valid state or Government issued driver's license.
  • Ability to pass an overseas deployment physical.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
