Job Responsibilities

The Senior Electrical Quality Control Specialist will be responsible for ensuring compliance with National Electric Code/NFPA 70, IES or equivalent standards in electrical installation, materials, methods, specifications, and hazardous location identification for oil and gas or petrochemical industries.

  • Analyzes applicable codes, standards, and project contract documents to ensure construction activities meet requirements.
  • Monitors and evaluates electrical tests and inspections, including ground-fault, ground resistance, insulation resistance, polarity, continuity, capacity, load, and other electrical field tests as required.
  • Ensures the installation and location of electrical equipment, ducts, conduits, cables, panels, and other components adhere to approved submittals and company electric code requirements.
  • Provides general inspection of construction and subcontractor work to ensure safe and workmanlike operation.
  • Verifies equipment settings, alignment, testing, and energization requirements.
  • Evaluates contractor quality control programs, monitors their compliance with approved quality control plans, and makes recommendations for improvements.
Job Specifications

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering is required. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of experience in a related position, with at least 3 years in inspection roles on Oil & Gas, Petroleum/Petrochemical projects.
