Job Description:

We are looking for a highly motivated Safety and Environmental Manager to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the development of a major mixed-use project that aims to be a global landmark recognised for its unique vision and position as an authentic destination in Riyadh.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Occupational Health and Safety performance of the programme, ensuring compliance with DC OHSMS, contractual obligations, and applicable Saudi laws and regulations.

Main Accountabilities:

  • Develop and implement Project/programme specific OH&S Plans.
  • Engage positively with competent authorities during site visits.
  • Ensure adherence to DC OHSMS, including OH&S Manual, Procedures, and Minimum Requirements, as well as all applicable Saudi laws and regulations.
  • Design and deliver OH&S training programmes for teams.
  • Evaluate Construction Supervision Consultants and Contractors' competence.
  • Assign adequate resources and competency of OH&S staff through formal interviews.
  • Coordinate employee vacations and leaves to ensure suitable site OH&S cover.
  • Authorise the review and approval of MSRAs.
  • Discuss OH&S concerns in regular progress meetings.
  • Notify concerned authorities of incidents and breaches.
  • Conduct thorough incident investigations and submit detailed reports.
  • Compile and present weekly and monthly reports.
  • Establish an effective OH&S proactive monitoring system.
  • Lead OH&S initiatives and attend audits, inspections, and meetings.
