Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Estimation Engineer to join our team at Samsung E&A Saudi. As a key member of our capital projects team, you will be responsible for analyzing project specifications and blueprints to accurately estimate the costs involved in construction and engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide technical expertise in cost estimation for oil and gas capital projects, with a focus on the Ethylene Petrochemical Projects.
  2. Utilize computer-estimating applications, such as ACCE, to develop cost estimates to different levels of accuracy.
  3. Familiarize yourself with ACCE Engineering Information Uploading Template and other relevant tools.
  4. Develop contractual and commercial knowledge of working regulations and procedures in Saudi Arabia (ARAMCO).
  5. Coordinate and resolve estimating problems with personnel throughout the Company and with contractor organizations.
  6. Prepare multidisciplinary conceptual and definitive cost estimates for Client capital projects.
  7. Review cost estimates to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with the scope of work.
  8. Participate in the analysis of major capital projects to plan the most cost-effective executions in light of experience and current industry practices.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, or construction management from a recognized university.
Experience
  1. Minimum 15 years of work experience as an estimation engineer for major oil and gas facilities.
  2. Experience using AspenTech Capital Cost Estimator (ACCE) for the last 8 years to prepare cost estimates for oil and gas projects.
  3. Familiarity with construction practices, materials, and equipment.
Skills and Competencies
  1. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  2. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  3. Proficiency in estimating software and tools.
  4. Ability to determine the cost of materials, equipment, labor, and other factors that impact project costs.
