Role Overview

The Purchasing Specialist will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient execution of purchase orders, status reports, and coordination activities. This position will be responsible for implementing QMS policies and procedures, reporting any minor/major non-conformities, and contributing to achieving department objectives.

Main Accountabilities
  • Purchasing Activities:
    • Negotiate quotations from suppliers based on specifications mentioned in purchase requests.
    • Search for new and competent suppliers to develop a consolidated database.
    • Review market trends, prices, delivery conditions, and determine present and future material availability.
  • Order Processing:
    • Approve purchase orders and initiate payments as per competency.
    • Cross-check invoices against orders at the time of initiating any payment.
    • Support all departments by coordinating timely advance payments to suppliers.
  • Logistics Coordination:
    • Ensure timely delivery of quality products and assist the logistics section in this regard.
    • Maintain updated knowledge of KSA customs and clearance policies, administrative regulations, and legal requirements related to purchasing goods.
  • Reporting and Compliance:
    • Prepare daily status reports of purchase requests and discuss them with the concerned manager on a weekly basis.
    • Implement QMS policies and procedures and report any minor/major non-conformity to the immediate manager.
