Role Summary

The Controller will be responsible for ensuring compliance with local GAAP, laws, and regulations in our Saudi Arabia Regional Headquarters.

This role will work closely with the Accounting, Treasury, and Tax teams in the United States and with our offices located in the Middle East and African regions to ensure proper accounting operations, management reporting and external reporting activities.

Main Responsibilities
  • Month and year-end close process ownership, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial statements and compliance with local GAAP, laws, and regulations.
  • Financial transactions, financial reporting, and monthly allocations quality control.
  • Support for local treasury and tax activities to ensure adherence to local compliance requirements.
  • Accounting policies and procedures development and maintenance, ensuring adherence to best practices.
  • Regular collaboration with the Corporate Finance team to communicate events and transactions that may impact results and forecasts including short range outlooks, annual and long-range plan development processes.
  • Support for operational areas that have a direct impact on international accounting activities such as AP, Assets, and other accounting transactional functions for entities under assigned responsibility.
Requirements
  • Progressive experience of 12+ years and at least 3+ years of management experience.
  • Knowledge of Saudi Organization for Certified Public Accountants (SOCPA) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and financial consolidation.
  • Proficient in regular accounting practices and able to prepare and analyze financial statements.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Excellent Arabic and English verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex accounting issues to various levels of the organization.
  • Able to develop strong analytical skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
Recommendations
  • Certified Public Accountant or equivalent.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and large ERP systems, preferably SAP.
