Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Engineer to join our drill bits team in a dynamic location. The successful candidate will serve as the liaison between sales and engineering, providing on-site supervision of drill bit processes and overseeing critical bit runs. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Monitoring drill bit and BHA performance
  2. Advising on drilling parameters
  3. Collecting data for analysis
  4. Defining quarterly and annual objectives
  5. Providing technical reactive support and operational recommendations
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Field Engineer will be responsible for:

  1. Providing in-depth product knowledge and basic mechanical knowledge
  2. Identifying and describing drill bit components
  3. Utilizing the IADC dull grading system
  4. Explaining drilling rig hydraulic equipment
  5. Identifying heat-treating processes and fluid circulation systems
  6. Assisting in drill bit software analysis
  7. Troubleshooting technical problems
  8. Providing engineering and sales analysis
  9. Maintaining records of drill bit equipment
  10. Participating in performance improvement initiatives
  11. Communicating with technical client personnel
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Geology, or a related technical discipline. A valid driver's license and clean driving record are also required. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of drilling and completions products, key limitations, and advantages of manufacturing products in different manners.
