We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Site Architecture Supervisor to join our team in Saudi Arabia. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supervising the architectural aspects of large-scale construction projects, ensuring high-quality delivery and resolving on-site issues.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Site Coordination & Oversight: Supervise the architectural coordination and supervision on-site during the post-contract phase, aligning all architectural works with the original design intent, specifications, and client requirements.
  • Quality Assurance & Control: Conduct regular site inspections and manage quality control processes to ensure that the construction is in accordance with the approved designs, drawings, and relevant codes and standards.
  • Problem-Solving: Address and resolve any architectural issues or discrepancies that arise during construction, ensuring practical, cost-effective solutions that meet project goals.
  • Client & Stakeholder Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders regarding architectural matters, providing regular updates on progress, issues, and solutions.
  • Collaboration with Project Teams: Work closely with the project manager, engineers, and other disciplines to ensure seamless integration of architectural elements with other aspects of the construction process.
  • Design Integrity: Maintain the architectural design intent throughout the construction phase, providing feedback to the design team as necessary to address site-specific challenges.
  • Document Control: Review and approve shop drawings, material samples, and other construction documentation submitted by contractors, ensuring compliance with the design and project requirements.
  • Site Safety & Compliance: Ensure that the architectural work is executed following all safety regulations and complies with local building codes and project specifications.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit regular site progress reports to senior management, highlighting any challenges, deviations, and corrective actions taken.
  • Mentoring: Provide guidance and leadership to junior site architects and site teams, ensuring they adhere to best practices and maintain high levels of professionalism and competence.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture (Master's degree is a plus).
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in architectural practice, with at least 5 years in a site-based post-contract role, specifically in the Saudi Arabian or GCC region.
  • Transferable Iqama is a must for this role.
  • Proven experience in managing the architectural aspects of large-scale construction projects, including oversight of contractors and coordination with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of architectural drawings, construction techniques, and local building codes and regulations (specifically within Saudi Arabia).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve site-specific challenges efficiently and effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Arabic language skills are a plus.
  • Ability to lead and coordinate a diverse site team and provide clear guidance to junior architects and contractors.
  • High level of attention to detail, ensuring that the project is completed in accordance with design specifications and quality standards.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar architectural software. Familiarity with MS Office for reporting and documentation.
  • Experience in overseeing high-profile projects in sectors such as hospitality, residential, or commercial architecture.
  • Knowledge of sustainable architecture practices and green building certifications (e.g., LEED).
  • Experience in working with contractors, consultants, and authorities to resolve on-site design and construction issues.
