ARFF Training Officer Position

The ARFF Training Officer will be responsible for managing the RFFS at the airport, developing training materials, and conducting audits to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements. This role requires a strong understanding of local and international RFFS standards and regulations.

Key Accountabilities
  • Team Management
    • Assist the Fire Chief in directing, leading, and managing the RFFS at the airport and its associated personnel.
  • Training and Development
    • Manage the design, development, and delivery of technical instruction/procedures and training material for the learning and development of fire service personnel.
  • Audit and Compliance
    • Manage/Conduct audit, inspection, and assessment processes so the Maintenance of Competence scheme is maintained and remains fully compliant with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Qualifications
    • University Degree in a fire/rescue related subject or equivalent certifications.
  • Certifications
    • NFPA certified competent in role and as a minimum requirement, qualified to an Aviation Rescue & Firefighting Service standard recognised by international/regional regulatory bodies.
  • Experience
    • Have held a position as an Airport Fire Chief, Deputy Fire Chief, or Station Manager at an International Airport.
  • Languages
    • Fluent in English Communication in both Oral and Written.
