About the Job

This role involves working as a Medical Imaging Technologist in our Computed Tomography Services Section, where you will be responsible for performing various tasks related to computed tomography scanning.

Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct thorough reviews of exam orders and protocols to ensure accurate preparation for exams.
  2. Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures and prepare them for scans.
  3. Operate CT imaging equipment, adjust settings, and assist with contrast media injections to achieve optimal results.
  4. Maintain close monitoring of patients' conditions during and after scans to guarantee their safety and comfort.
  5. Process patient information accurately and retrieve relevant data for radiologist interpretation or archiving purposes.
  6. Ensure the quality of completed tests by documenting all studies and recording necessary data for diagnosis.
  7. Prioritize routine equipment maintenance, reporting malfunctions, and conducting quality control checks to prevent disruptions.
  8. Restore equipment and rooms to a safe, prepared state, ensuring minimal disruption to daily operations.
  9. Adhere to established Radiation Safety Rules and Regulations of the Hospital, aligning with KACST, K.A. CARE, and other National or International Regulatory bodies.
  10. Foster an environment that adheres to the ALARA principle for all procedures.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Radiological Sciences/Technology. Additionally, two years of related experience with a Bachelor's Degree, or four years with relevant programs, is required for Grade 08. For Grade 09, four years of experience as a Computed Tomography Technologist, or related experience (Grade 08), is required, along with an average annual performance appraisal score of at least 3.5 over the last four years and fifty hours of cumulative continued medical education (CME).

Certification Requirements:

  • Active registration from the country of origin and the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS) is mandatory.
  • Registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or equivalent for non-Saudis is also required.
