About the Role

Koch Engineered Solutions is seeking a skilled Material Planner to join our team in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. As a key member of our manufacturing hub, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning and coordination of materials and production flow within the plant.

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule the procurement of materials to meet operational needs and maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Allocate raw materials based on efficient cutting plans to minimize waste and maximize material utilization.
  • Collaborate with the Logistics team to ensure seamless logistics activities.
  • Develop cutting programs for the production team.
  • Communicate with Project Management, Stores, and Procurement to ensure timely material availability.
  • Work closely with operational departments to meet customer needs.
  • Prepare material plans for new projects.
  • Support meeting or exceeding established On-Time Performance (OTP) delivery goals.
  • Develop and review manufacturing routings with the manufacturing team.
  • Manage multiple projects by providing scheduling, resource management, budget control, and ensuring EHS & Quality compliance.
  • Ensure accurate estimations and encourage the production team to explore alternative solutions for realistic estimates.

Requirements

  • Experience with MRP systems in purchasing or planning or equivalent work.
  • Excellent computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheet, and general operating system software, as well as AutoCad, LandTek, and Nesting Software.
  • Strong communication skills to exchange information clearly and concisely with colleagues, supervisors, and other departments.
  • Ability to read and interpret part drawings and process prints.
  • Ability to analyze problems, identify root causes, and provide efficient solutions.
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional organization.
  • Strong manufacturing and materials planning skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Good working knowledge of manufacturing processes associated with heat exchangers, flares, skids, and pressure vessels with international customers.
  • Drafting and programming capabilities.
  • Material Planning Experience.
  • Professional with Lean deployment.
