Job Description

The Lean Process Engineer plays a pivotal role in Friends Enterprises' ongoing mission to streamline maintenance operations and enhance overall efficiency. This esteemed professional will spearhead the redesign of maintenance processes, leveraging expertise in Lean Process Implementation, Six Sigma, and Kaizens. Strong project management skills and exceptional communication abilities are essential for successful collaboration with Executive Management and the employee team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide data-driven recommendations for process improvements in areas such as process control, maintenance techniques, tools, and standards.
  • Conduct thorough studies of direct and indirect labor to establish efficient systems and optimize time utilization.
  • Identify areas for improvement and develop actionable recommendations.
  • Establish and monitor maintenance performance metrics to guide efforts towards maximum improvement.
  • Create and update necessary documentation to ensure clarity and effectiveness.
  • Audit the documentation process to guarantee ease of use, flexibility, and overall effectiveness.
  • Deliver training and share knowledge with team members on relevant techniques and technical requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as required by management to ensure seamless completion of work.

Person Specification

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering discipline or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Certified SSBB (Six Sigma Black Belt) designation.

Job-Related Skills or Competencies

  • Proficiency in computer software applications.
  • Strong foundation in mathematics and statistics with practical applications.
  • Excellent written, reading, and spoken English language skills.

Work Experience

  • At least 7 years of relevant professional-level experience in the required area of expertise or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Prior experience in Assembly, Continuous Improvement, Ergonomics, Line Balance, Project Management, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Lean Six Sigma, with expertise in Time Studies and Cost Reductions.
