Job Description

The Senior Site Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction projects, ensuring timely completion, adherence to quality standards, and effective resource allocation.

This role involves managing day-to-day site operations, coordinating resources, monitoring progress, and proactively addressing any challenges. As the primary liaison between clients, contractors, and stakeholders, you will ensure seamless communication and efficient project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines and resource allocation for substation projects.
  • Coordinate activities among engineering, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure smooth execution.
  • Monitor and ensure all construction and installation activities comply with industry standards and project specifications.
  • Lead and supervise on-site teams, providing guidance to engineers, technicians, and subcontractors.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies, ensuring clear communication.
  • Provide regular project updates, addressing challenges and milestones with stakeholders.
  • Oversee procurement and resource management of materials and equipment necessary for substation construction.
  • Optimize resource allocation to ensure efficiency and minimize costs.
  • Maintain accurate records of project activities, safety incidents, and compliance with regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry best practices.
  • Identify and proactively resolve project issues, keeping timelines and budgets on track.
  • Oversee the testing and commissioning of substation systems, ensuring full operational readiness before handover.
  • Engage with local communities and stakeholders to address project-related concerns and maintain positive relationships.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 6 to 10 years of experience in substation construction or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, for project tracking and reporting.
  • Solid understanding of construction standards, regulatory requirements, and safety protocols.
  • Proven ability to lead on-site teams, manage stakeholders, and oversee project execution.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to address issues proactively and keep projects on track.
