Library Coordinator

Indian Librarian in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Abroad Work is seeking an experienced Indian librarian to manage and maintain its extensive collection of books, journals, and other materials at a prestigious library in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As a librarian, you will be responsible for cataloging, organizing, and preserving the library's resources.

1. Maintain and organize the library's collection of books, journals, and other materials according to established standards.
2. Assist patrons with finding relevant resources and provide reference services to ensure seamless information access.
3. Manage library databases and implement accurate cataloging systems to ensure easy discovery of library materials.
4. Create engaging displays to promote new or relevant materials and foster a culture of reading and learning.
5. Develop and teach information literacy classes to students and staff to enhance their research skills.
6. Stay up-to-date on current trends and technologies in the library field to remain competitive and innovative.

1. Must be an Indian national currently residing in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
2. Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field.
3. Minimum of 2 years experience working in a library setting.
4. Proficient in using the Dewey Decimal Classification System.
5. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy and precision.
6. Excellent communication and customer service skills to interact effectively with patrons and colleagues.

This is a full-time position with a salary of $1600 per month. The work schedule is from Sunday to Thursday, with weekends off. This position does not come with accommodation, so applicants must have their own housing arrangements. A valid biometric passport is required for this position.
