We are seeking a highly skilled and visionary Physical Education Teacher to lead and expand our division.

The key role is to develop effective lesson plans to teach Physical Education appropriate to the age group, utilising a variety of teaching methods to ensure high-quality learning takes place.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Develop and implement effective lesson plans to teach Physical Education appropriate to the age group.
  • Utilise a range of teaching methods to ensure high-quality learning experiences for students.
  • Implement curricula requirements, including IB PYP.
  • Provide differentiated instruction to cater to various learning levels and skill sets, promoting improved attainment and inclusive activities for different fitness levels.
  • Organise relevant excursions, competitions, outdoor activities, and similar initiatives.
  • Take a lead role in the School's competitive sports programme and Extra Curricular Activity (ECA) programme, ensuring activities are suitable for the age group.
  • Maintain a respectful and inclusive environment, valuing each student's social, cultural, and religious background.
  • Contribute to pastoral care, health, welfare, and behaviour management of all pupils, with particular focus on designated groups.
  • Promote a sense of community and responsibility among students, encouraging respect and concern for others.
  • Maintain a well-organised and tidy PE area, with proper care and labelling of equipment.
  • Collaborate with the Principal and staff in establishing and developing pupil assessment procedures and tagged portfolios, maintaining accurate records of achievement.
  • Foster positive relationships with parents and guardians of students in your care.
  • Supervise and guide classroom helpers in their tasks.
  • Maintain a professional ambassadorial role for the school within the community and beyond.
  • Participate actively in a professional learning committee.
  • Perform additional duties as directed by the Principal.

  • Collaborate with colleagues in long and medium-term planning.
  • Take corporate responsibility for displaying excellence throughout the school.
  • Contribute to the management and delivery of assemblies.
  • Share expertise with colleagues.
  • Engage in appraisal procedures and in-service training to enhance personal and professional development.

**Qualifications and Experience:**

  • Bachelor's Degree in Education with a Diploma in Sports Science; or Bachelor's Degree in Sports Science with a Teaching certificate.
  • Minimum 2-5 years of relevant teaching experience, preferably in a school setting.
