Job Description

We seek a seasoned Principal Fire Engineer/Consultant to lead projects across the Middle East, working closely with clients and performing technical work. This role requires experience in mechanical and electrical fire systems design, review, and construction inspection.

The successful candidate will have a strong analytical background, excellent communication skills, and business acumen. They will lead and mentor a team of engineers, guiding them on technical aspects and ensuring high-quality reviews and site inspections.

Main Responsibilities

  • Design and engineer fire protection systems for complex projects across the Middle East, incorporating sprinkler systems, suppression systems, fire alarms, emergency lighting, and infrastructure distribution.
  • Coordinate workload, establish quality standards for reviews, and guide the team on technical aspects of reviews, design drawings, shop drawings, site inspections, commissioning, and testing, witnessing, and installation inspections related to Mechanical and Electrical Fire systems.
  • Mentor and lead a team of fire engineering professionals, advising on and delivering complex solutions to large construction engineering projects, developing fire protection strategies, performance-based design approaches, and alternative solutions to resolve client issues.
  • Manage current and future projects, ensuring financial targets are met and exceeded, develop existing relationships with key clients, and deliver fire safety engineering solutions, conducting Mechanical and Electrical Fire systems design, review, and construction inspection.
  • Provide Technical Solutions to Clients & oversee and peer review the work of Engineering staff, maintaining a high level of professional awareness of technical matters in the fire industry, providing updates and briefings as required.
  • Drive the delivery of technical excellence, team engagement, and be the go-to person for developing key clients, leading discussions with the design team, Client, and Civil Defense authorities.
  • Prepare and present technical reports, proposals, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in fire protection engineering.
