Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Labor Coordinator to join our team at Helmerich & Payne. As a Labor Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our labor management processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Crew Management: Coordinate and manage all rotation schedules to ensure full crew availability and manage shortages.
  • Catering and Logistics: Liaise with Camp Boss to ensure the quality delivery of catering services and staff, and work with the rig manager to ensure smooth communication and resolve all related issues regarding logistics and staff needs.
  • Labor Relations: Coordinate with rig managers and labor providers to close out labor-related issues and concerns as they arise, and maintain and develop work schedules and assignments.
  • Performance Management: Address performance concerns raised by rig managers and coordinate disciplinary actions with manpower providers/HR department.
  • Incident Investigation: Investigate accidents and incidents and take corrective action as necessary.
  • Reporting: Prepare reports on crew productivity and crew time sheets.
Authorities and Responsibilities
  • Crew Shortages: Authority to manage crew shortages in coordination with rig manager and manpower contractors/HR department.
  • Liaison with Contractors: Authority to liaise with manpower contractors.
  • Transportation and Lodging: Authority to request transportation and lodging services for the crew.
Requirements
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex processes and procedures in a way that team members can understand.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues, develop solutions, and implement them.
  • Reasoning and Common Sense: Sound reasoning skills, common sense, and the ability to follow directions.
  • Mathematical Skills: Basic mathematical skills (equivalent to a high school education) and proficiency in rig math.
  • Computer Skills: Advanced computer skills, particularly in MS Excel.
