Job Details

The Senior Design Manager will lead a team of design consultants in developing innovative designs for THE LINE project. This role requires a strong understanding of design principles, user experience, visual design, and integration technologies.

The Senior Design Manager will manage the design process from concept to completion, ensuring that all designs meet the project's goals and objectives. They will oversee the design consultants, provide guidance and feedback, and stay up-to-date on the latest design trends and technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the design consultants to deliver the design from concept to Issue for Construction (IFC) stages.
  2. Ensure design developed by the design consultants is in accordance with Employer's requirements, applicable legislations, codes, and standards.
  3. Work with the Project Manager to plan, manage, and monitor design progress to meet schedule.
  4. Monitor design progress and manage design issues by regularly engaging with the design consultants.
  5. Review and respond to the design consultants' change proposals.
  6. Manage design review process in accordance with the project procedures.
  7. Support the design consultants with internal and external stakeholder engagement.
  8. Contribute to project risk management by identifying and managing design-related risks.
  9. Promote innovation and sharing of best practices among the design consultants.
  10. Collaborate with other departments to ensure design objectives are met.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional registration in architecture, engineering, or construction-related subject. Experience managing design and/or construction of super high-rise or complex building projects.

Skills & Abilities:

Candidate must be highly articulate, analytical, and possess strong decision-making abilities. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills are essential.

Technical Skills:

Competent in using MS Office suite and familiar with Power BI and PowerApps for design management.

Specialized Expertise:

Knowledge of codes, standards, and guidelines related to architectural design for high-rise buildings.

Desirable Skills:

Experience managing delivery of both design and construction stages.
