We're seeking an experienced Data Center Operations Manager to join our AWS Infrastructure Services team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, planning, delivery, and operation of our global infrastructure.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement processes to ensure seamless integration of AWS infrastructure components.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize initiatives to improve operational efficiency.
  • Provide input to design and construction teams during the building phase, ensuring alignment with AWS infrastructure standards.
  • Drive improvements in energy efficiency and business continuity planning (BCP).
  • Establish and maintain relationships with vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
  • Lead the development and implementation of disaster recovery plans to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports to demonstrate adherence to AWS infrastructure standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and manage budgets to ensure efficient resource allocation and cost-effective solutions.
  • Coordinate and conduct training sessions to ensure that staff members possess necessary knowledge and skills to perform their duties effectively.

About the Role

This position requires a unique blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and leadership skills. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in data center operations management, with a focus on scalability, reliability, and sustainability.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in data center operations management, preferably in a cloud-based environment.
  • Strong understanding of data center infrastructure, including electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems.
  • Experience with design and construction of data centers, including coordination with architects, engineers, and contractors.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, drive collaboration, and foster a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with various stakeholders, including senior leaders, subject matter experts, and external partners.
  • Ability to develop and manage budgets, allocate resources efficiently, and make informed decisions that align with organizational goals.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect and analyze data, identify trends, and recommend actionable insights.
