Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Corporate Lawyer to join our team. As a key member of our legal department, you will be responsible for overseeing the legal aspects of our business operations. Your expertise in corporate law and procedures in the GCC and South Africa will play a crucial role in safeguarding our reputation and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contract Management: Draft, review, negotiate, and manage commercial agreements, contracts, and legal documents.
  • Legal Advice: Provide accurate and commercially sound legal advice to stakeholders on various issues, including employment laws.
  • Risk Mitigation: Identify, mitigate, and manage contractual, legal, and commercial risks throughout the contract lifecycle.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Dispute Resolution: Manage and oversee litigation and dispute resolution processes, including coordination with external legal counsels.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in law (LLB) or Juris Doctor (JD).
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience as a qualified legal counsel in a business environment.
  • Legal Knowledge: Strong understanding of relevant laws (including corporate law and procedures).
  • Strategic Thinking: Demonstrated ability to create legal defensive or proactive strategies.
