About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Site Engineering Professional to join our team at Hitachi Energy in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. As a key member of our site management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation and commissioning of various utility substation projects, including those for National Grid, SEC, ARAMCO, and SABIC.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement site execution schedules for high-voltage substations, ensuring timely and budget-friendly completion.
- Coordinate and manage site activities, subcontractors, and resources to meet project objectives.
- Ensure all site installation, testing, and commissioning activities are performed in accordance with the site execution schedule and project quality plan.
- Collaborate with the project team to plan and coordinate daily construction activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications and site program.
- Review and resolve discrepancies or conflicts in specification drawings.
- Monitor materials, equipment, and manpower on site to ensure timely completion of construction activities.
- Coach and review the work of lower-level professionals, addressing complex problems and ensuring adherence to company values.
Your Background
- A bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field is required.
- Minimum 8 to 10 years of work experience, with 3-4 years in a lead site manager role.
- SEC/NG approval as a site manager is required, or a commitment to obtain approval within 6 months.
- Extensive knowledge of primary and secondary equipment, including GIS and AIS substations, layouts, earthing, cabling, lightning protection, and sizing calculations.
- Experience in site management, primary testing activities, and review of LVAC, DC system engineering.
- Proficiency in both spoken and written English language is required.
