Key Responsibilities
  • Consultation & Assessment:
    • Engage with clients to understand their business processes, pain points, and automation needs.
    • Conduct thorough assessments to identify opportunities for process automation and improvement.

  • ERP Process Analysis & Consultation:
    • Collaborate with business analysts, ERP consultants, and key stakeholders to understand existing business processes and identify areas where automation can drive efficiency.
    • Conduct in-depth assessments of the ERP environment, including workflows, data management, and system integration points, to identify automation opportunities.
    • Provide expert advice on automation strategies that align with the company's ERP goals and overall business objectives.
  • Solution Design & Implementation:
    • Design and develop automation workflows, scripts, and bots using industry-leading tools such as UiPath, Blue Prism, or Automation Anywhere.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of automation solutions into existing systems.
    • Implement automation solutions, including configuration, testing, and deployment, ensuring high-quality and efficient delivery.
  • Automation Solution Design:
    • Design automation solutions that integrate seamlessly with the ERP system, focusing on process automation, data validation, and error reduction.
    • Develop detailed technical specifications and documentation for proposed automation workflows, ensuring alignment with ERP best practices.
    • Collaborate with ERP vendors, developers, and IT teams to ensure that automation solutions are compatible with the ERP system architecture and do not disrupt existing functionalities.
  • Implementation & Integration:
    • Develop, configure, and deploy automation scripts, bots, and tools using platforms such as UiPath, Blue Prism, or other RPA technologies, ensuring they work effectively within the ERP system.
    • Work on integrating automation solutions with ERP modules (e.g., finance, HR, supply chain) to enhance process efficiency and accuracy.
    • Ensure that automation solutions are implemented with a focus on data security, compliance, and system integrity.
  • Testing & Quality Assurance:
    • Develop and execute comprehensive testing plans to ensure that automation solutions work as intended within the ERP environment.
    • Collaborate with QA teams to perform functional, regression, and performance testing on automated processes.
    • Identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies in automation scripts, ensuring they meet the defined quality standards.
  • Project Management:
    • Manage multiple automation projects simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
    • Develop project plans, timelines, and milestones, and track progress against them.
    • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and outcomes.
  • Training & Support:
    • Provide training to client teams on the use and maintenance of automation solutions.
    • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for deployed automation solutions, ensuring their continuous operation and improvement.
    • Document automation processes, including workflows, configurations, and troubleshooting guides, to support long-term maintenance.
  • Continuous Improvement & Optimization:
    • Monitor the performance of implemented automation solutions and identify opportunities for optimization and enhancement.
    • Stay updated with the latest trends, tools, and technologies in automation, and apply this knowledge to improve client offerings.
    • Participate in post-implementation reviews to capture lessons learned and inform future projects.
  • Collaboration & Communication:
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including ERP consultants, IT developers, and business analysts, to ensure successful implementation of automation initiatives.
    • Facilitate communication between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring that automation projects meet business needs and technical requirements.
    • Engage with vendors and third-party partners to explore additional automation tools and services that can enhance ERP functionality.
  • Other:
    • The Automation Solutions Specialist is expected to perform other tasks as instructed by the management.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of RPA tools such as UiPath, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with AI/ML technologies, workflow automation tools, and scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript).
  • Familiarity with IT systems, software development lifecycle (SDLC), and enterprise architecture.
  • Experience with process mining tools like Celonis or Pega.
  • Understanding of business process management (BPM) and Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Proven track record of managing automation projects within an ERP implementation, from concept to completion.
  • Experience in sectors such as retail or manufacturing is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of data governance, compliance, and security best practices within an ERP environment.

Education and Certification Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; a master's degree is a plus.
  • Master's degree preferred.
