About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Student Counselor to join our team at Waad Academy. This mid-senior level part-time position will play a vital role in promoting students' mental health, emotional growth, and overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Student Development & Support: Identify and support students' abilities, inclinations, and behaviors, providing guidance and developing personalized treatment plans to help them succeed.
  • Parent & Teacher Collaboration: Hold individual meetings with parents to address concerns, organize training courses for students and their families, and collaborate with teachers on academic performance and behavioral issues.
  • Academic Monitoring & Guidance: Track student progress through evaluations, identify lagging students, and collaborate with the Guidance Committee to provide appropriate support and interventions.
  • Career & Health Guidance: Offer career guidance, facilitate participation in school career days, and increase awareness about healthy practices. Refer students to appropriate professionals when necessary.
  • Coordination & Supervision: Supervise student entry into classes, cooperate with teachers and staff, ensure students' well-being, and attend team meetings to discuss student support and improvements.
  • Student and Parent Communication: Maintain regular communication with parents regarding student progress, behavior, and attendance, and follow up on any concerns.
