AV Technician Job Role

We are seeking skilled professionals to fill the role of AV Technician. As an AV Technician, you will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and repairing audio, visual, and lighting equipment throughout our facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate, maintain, and repair all audio, visual, and lighting equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Respond promptly to work requests, prioritizing those related to health and safety, and address guest requests in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Implement and follow preventive maintenance routines to guarantee the highest level of equipment functionality.
  • Evaluate and respond to equipment usage and energy efficiency concerns to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
  • Complete and maintain accurate documentation, including work orders, log books, and safety records, to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Participate in the emergency response team as directed and collaborate with team members to complete assigned tasks.
  • Stay updated on the latest AV technologies and best practices to ensure the continued success of our operations.
  • Ensure all work follows safe work practices and procedures to protect yourself and others from harm.
Requirements
  • A secondary school diploma plus technical college degree or equivalent in Audio-Visual Technology or a related field.
  • Proven experience in operating, maintaining, and repairing audio, visual, and lighting equipment.
  • Knowledge of modern facility AV systems and set-ups, including troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities, with a customer-focused mindset and strong communication skills.
  • The ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required, and physical ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds.
  • Basic English language proficiency, both verbal and written, and familiarity with health and safety regulations related to AV equipment.
  • Able to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
