Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Anesthesia Specialist to join our team at Security Forces Hospital Program Dammam. As an Anesthesia Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective administration of anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Equipment Management: Maintain accurate inventory levels of anesthesia equipment and supplies, ensuring that all necessary items are available and in good working condition.
- Patient Care: Provide high-quality patient care, including pre-operative preparation, intra-operative monitoring, and post-operative recovery.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations, including code blue events.
- Cleanliness and Sterilization: Maintain a clean and sterile environment, adhering to strict infection control protocols.
- Monitoring and Documentation: Monitor patients' vital signs and document all anesthesia-related activities, including medication administration and equipment usage.
- Teamwork and Communication: Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on anesthesia equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing downtime.
- Education and Training: Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with the latest anesthesia techniques and technologies.
- Quality Assurance: Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care and safety.
- Education and Certification: Possess a degree in a relevant field, such as anesthesia technology or a related healthcare discipline, and hold current certification as an anesthesia technician.
- Language Skills: Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff, and other healthcare professionals.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in the use of anesthesia equipment, including ventilators, monitors, and other devices.
- Physical Demands: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent standing, walking, and lifting of equipment and supplies.
