Cartographic Technician

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced GIS Associate to join our team in Saudi Arabia. As a key member of our GIS team, you will be responsible for assisting with various GIS projects, performing data collection, analysis, and visualization tasks, and collaborating with senior GIS professionals to ensure accurate geospatial data management and analysis.

• Support the development of spatial data models and ensure their accuracy and relevance.
• Collaborate with the GIS team to edit and update spatial data, ensuring its accuracy and consistency.
• Collect, standardize, and verify field data to maintain data quality and integrity.
• Generate raster surfaces from point data using interpolation techniques for informed decision-making.
• Perform spatial analysis by integrating thematic layers and producing statistical outputs to assess environmental impacts and inform business decisions.
• Design and produce clear, interpretable maps adhering to cartographic standards for effective communication.
• Prepare metadata and data dictionaries, and assist with data delivery and archival processes.

• Bachelor's degree in Geography, Geospatial Sciences, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Three years of professional experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
• Proficiency in Esri software, including ArcGIS Pro.
• Strong experience in managing environmental databases and ensuring data accuracy.
• Ability to work effectively in both field and office settings.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new GIS technologies and methodologies.
