At Qiddiya, we are seeking a highly experienced and innovative Senior Director-Technical Services (Theme Park) to lead the technical operations of our world-class theme park facilities. This pivotal role focuses on ensuring that the technical services necessary for the design, construction, and operation of attractions are executed seamlessly in line with our vision.

As the Senior Director of Technical Services, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of technical services, including engineering, maintenance, safety, and operational readiness. Your leadership will contribute to the successful rollout of attractions and ensure ongoing excellence in operations, sustainability, and guest experience.

Operational Expertise
  • Pre-opening inspections, testing, and commissioning of attractions.
  • Management of daily Technical Services operations, including Attractions, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry, Facilities, Animatronics, Engineering, and Preventative Maintenance.
  • Implementation of health and safety regulations, especially related to ride safety maintenance and facilities.
  • Development and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Working with International IP Attractions preferred.
Service Excellence & Quality Standards
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of service delivery, including different types of maintenance to prevent and minimize downtime, manage assets, create reports and analytics, manage inventory and work order management.
  • Experience with global quality standards programs.
Financial Acumen
  • Budget preparation and cost control expertise.
  • Financial data analysis for strategic decision-making.
  • Long-term financial planning and achieving EBITDA/Revenue targets.
Sales & Marketing
  • Support ideas and campaigns to expand target markets, drive visitation, and improve brand awareness.
  • Collaborate with others to innovate and adapt to trends and improve guest journeys.
  • Maintain brand standards and IP requirements.
Technical Proficiency
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with relevant software programs.
Communication & Organizational Skills
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to perform under pressure.
Safety Consciousness
  • Excellent crisis management and problem-solving abilities.
Minimum Requirements
  1. Bachelor's Degree preferably in an engineering or technical field.
  2. Preferred Master's Degree in Strategic Management or a related field.
  3. Proven experience in leading the opening and operations of an international theme park in at least 2 countries.
  4. At least 10 years of proven success in leadership and ability to manage large teams effectively.
  5. Proven operational knowledge and expertise in developing and leading Technical Services processes and procedures.
  6. Proven success in strategic planning and execution to drive equipment availability and operational financial results.
  7. Proven success in developing, leading, and implementing safety programs and systems.
  8. Experience developing, leading, and implementing performance management systems with measurable results.
  9. Showcased ability to innovate and adapt to industry and business trends and changes.
  10. Demonstrated track record of delivering exceptional service delivery.
