Job Summary


We're seeking a highly skilled GFO Tech to join our team as a Cloud Infrastructure Technician. In this role, you'll play a critical part in installing and supporting AWS deployments in non-traditional environments.



Responsibilities



  • Collaborate with internal teams and customers to identify and address technical issues.
  • Conduct site assessments to prepare for the onsite installation of AWS equipment.
  • Install, expand, and provision AWS infrastructure at third-party premises, data centers, and non-traditional environments.
  • Troubleshoot network installations and configurations, perform network testing, break/fix, and decommissioning, and solve complex problems.
  • Implement strategies to prevent support issues and enhance the customer experience.
  • Communicate effectively in English, Hindi, and regional languages to conduct day-to-day business with internal teams and external customers.
  • Travel up to 50% on average, domestically and internationally, to install, service, and retrieve AWS equipment.
  • Maintain physical ability to push and pull heavy objects into position, regularly lift up to 18kg, and participate in team lifts of 30kg.
  • Participate in developing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and tools that improve operational efficiencies.
  • May lead larger projects that require cross-functional alignment and support, including large-DC installations, global-reaching business initiatives, and development of mechanisms to support growth while ensuring compliance with global group standards.
  • Work at height to maintain AWS infrastructure equipment while adhering to AWS health and safety guidelines.
  • Have a passion for technology and desire to excel in the role every day.


Requirements



  • 4+ years of experience in data center operations or a similar technical environment.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with data center equipment and rack installation.
  • Fundamental knowledge of Linux servers, networking fundamentals (Layer 1/Layer 2), and TCP/IP.
  • 2+ years of experience working in a program management capacity and/or leading large-scale complex projects.
  • English, Hindi, and regional language proficiency required.
