Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, deploying, and configuring network systems, including LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VPN. This will involve implementing and supporting network architecture, ensuring scalability and reliability, as well as monitoring network performance and troubleshooting issues to optimize efficiency and security.
In addition, the candidate will conduct regular maintenance, updates, and patches to ensure system stability, implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and virtual private networks (VPNs), and conduct vulnerability assessments and implement solutions to mitigate risks.
The Network Infrastructure Specialist will also respond to network outages and other technical issues, providing prompt resolutions to minimize downtime, collaborate with IT teams and vendors to resolve hardware, software, and connectivity problems, and maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, changes, and issues.
Finally, the candidate will prepare reports on network performance, incidents, and project status for management, and stay updated on emerging networking technologies and recommend upgrades or new solutions to meet business needs.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Strong understanding of network systems and architectures
- Experience with network design, deployment, and configuration
- Knowledge of network security measures and protocols
