Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Controls Project Engineer to join our Solution Engineering team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for designing and programming PLC controls for our material handling systems. Your expertise will enable us to deliver high-quality projects that meet customer needs.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical, electronics, or control technology engineering. You should have experience with PLC development and testing, as well as knowledge of SCADA applications and fieldbus technology. Excellent communication and project management skills are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and program PLC controls for material handling systems
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary project teams to deliver functional specifications
  • Develop detailed designs, programs, and test PLC software
  • Commission material handling systems and perform functional testing
  • Integrate PLC software into overall control systems and assist with customer acceptance testing
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Industrial Automation, Computer Science, or Control Technology
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in project engineering environment (system integration, solution design, project delivery)
  • Strong knowledge of design practices and qualification requirements, systems development lifecycle
  • Experience with PLC applications (TIA Portal, Siemens S7-300 & 400 series, Siemens S7-1500 series)
  • Knowledge of Allen Bradley / other PLC platform is an added advantage
  • Excellent verbal and written skills in English
