Job Title: Concierge Supervisor

About the Role

The Concierge Supervisor will be responsible for providing exceptional guest experiences, ensuring that all guests are fully supported by a high level of information about the region and relevant advice and assistance to organize their trip.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert knowledge of regional activities, places of interest, and history to guests.
  • Negotiate the best offers for the hotel and for the guests with all stakeholders.
  • Welcomes, takes care of, and bids farewell to all guests.
  • Ensures that all guests are fully supported by a high level of information about the region and relevant advice and assistance to organize their trip.
  • Ensures that all Kempinski brand operational standards are implemented.
  • Advises guests on all activities in and around the hotel (best suited to their personal needs and preferences).
  • Organizes the administrative area of the Concierge (e.g. correspondence with guests, loan contracts for bicycles and other equipment, etc.) and the maintenance of the equipment (e.g. cleaning bicycles, commissioning maintenance, organizing exchange of bicycles, etc.).
  • Organizes and performs activities independently (e.g. hiking tours, ski guiding, mountain biking, rafting, employee sports programs, torchlight walks, etc.).
  • Ensures his/her own training and informs himself/herself regularly about current market trends and happenings in the area.
  • In coordination with the management and HR, creates the annual employee sports program for all employees.
  • Creates the Daily Activity Concierge Newspaper and, in cooperation with Front Office and Kids Club team, organizes the children's programs, and leads the activities.
  • Maintains and updates regularly guest data and preferences in the OPERA PMS, if allowed and data consent has been signed off by the guest.
  • Has knowledge of procedures in emergency situations (e.g. fire alarm, robbery, bomb threat, etc.) and is up-to-date with the First Aid certification.
  • Has knowledge of the customer loyalty program Kempinski DISCOVERY and the Social Responsibility program BE Health, and promotes both programs to guests.
  • The position holder is the contact person for the PR and Marketing department to market the Activity Concierge concept, both internally and externally.
Requirements
  • Hotel Apprenticeship / Higher College Education
  • 2+ years' experience as a Receptionist, Guest Relation Officer or Concierge in an international 5 star hotel preferably.
  • Local language – excellent oral and written skills
  • English – excellent oral and written skills
  • Additional language - beneficial
  • Supervisory skills

  • General knowledge of tourism and business related information
  • Excellent knowledge of the area's activities, places of interest and history
  • Knowledge of hotel products and services
