Job Overview
SAB is a leading financial institution seeking a skilled professional to lead its climate analytics efforts. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in climate science, data analysis, and sustainable finance.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain SAB's CO2FI tool to derive Financed Emissions for hard-to-abate sectors.
- Manage and assess data from internal and external sources related to Finance Emissions and broader Climate Analysis.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure operating within SAB's policies and guidelines around models and scenarios.
- Engage with business teams to document clear methodology and guidelines for proxy usage in portfolio assessment.
- Lead the engagement with stakeholders to review and assure Financed Emissions for external disclosure.
- Manage GHG inventory, including Financed Emissions (Scope 3 category 15).
- Support risk and business teams to integrate Net Zero reference points into financial planning, risk management, and client engagement processes.
- Bachelor/Master's degree in Environmental Science, Climate Science, Data Analytics, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 7-10 years of experience in climate change analytics, sustainability, or environmental risk management.
