Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled General Surgery Consultant to join our esteemed team at Antal International Network - IME. As a consultant in general surgery, you would lead the surgical team and be responsible for providing expert guidance in surgical care, collaborating with medical professionals, contributing to research and education initiatives, and upholding the hospital's commitment to excellence.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality General Surgery care to patients in this area of medicine.
  • Provide consultative services as requested by colleagues and management.
  • Supervise fellows, staff/assistant physicians, and residents, ensuring their development and growth within the hospital.
  • Actively participate in training and teaching of residents and fellows, focusing on areas of expertise.
  • Participate in research activities and committees, promoting innovation and improvement within the hospital.
  • Perform special procedures as privileged, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • A graduate degree from a reputable medical school.
  • Completion of required training periods in your specialty.
  • Saudi Arab or American/European Board Certification, or equivalent.
  • Membership and/or Fellowship status in America and/or Europe, meeting the criteria for consultants.
  • A recognized certificate from the Saudi commission, including Dataflow.

Professional Experience

Prior experience as a surgeon or in a similar leadership role is essential, with a minimum of 3-4 years post-board/fellowship in your specialty.

Language

Proficiency in English is mandatory, while additional proficiency in Arabic may be beneficial.
