About the Role

Our team is seeking a skilled Cost Management Lead to join our dedicated cost management team in Riyadh, KSA. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in leading flagship projects' cost planning and estimating functions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing the structure and format of cost plans/estimates, developing and implementing best practice systems for cost management services, and defining measurement standards aligned with industry best practices.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Establish cost plans and estimates throughout design stages in accordance with NRM1, NRM2, and CESMM formats.
  • Develop and implement effective cost management procedures and protocols.
  • Evaluate design options and alternatives, benchmarking at various design stages.
  • Monitor cost implications and track cost movement against budget, reconciling variances and reporting reasons for variation.
  • Manage value engineering exercises, advising on cost implications and attending workshops.
  • Provide advice on procurement strategies, develop reports on advantages/disadvantages, and lead tender document preparation.
  • Manage competitive tender processes, including managing tender queries and contributing to structured evaluations.
  • Prepare contract documents and advise on contract conditions, developing cost reporting formats and executive board-level reports.

Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related field.
  • Chartered member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (FRICS/MRICS).
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken, with a clear approach to providing advice.
  • A minimum of 15 years' experience post-degree qualification.
  • Proficiency in IT, able to analyse and present data using cost management software like Cost X.
  • Working knowledge of NRM1 and NRM2, with a team player mindset.
