About the Role

Asterix Communications is seeking a highly skilled Traffic Logistics Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our Road Traffic Team, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating land transport shipments across our operations in the Middle East.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Land Transport Management: Oversee the management of land transport shipments, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods across our operations in KSA, UAE, and Egypt.
  2. Process Improvement: Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and improve processes related to transporter services, including customer services, finance, customers, shipping team, and clearing agents.
  3. Load Review and Planning: Review available loads and plan shipments in accordance with appointment dates and regulations of each country/destination.
  4. Transporter Engagement: Engage with transporters to organize shipments, including slot bookings in Transporeon software, and ensure timely delivery of goods.
  5. Shipment Coordination: Coordinate and share shipment plans and updates with all concerned stakeholders, including transporters, customers, and internal teams.
  6. OTIF Monitoring: Monitor on-time-in-full (OTIF) performance and present corrective actions to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  7. Freight Negotiation: Negotiate with carriers to achieve optimal land transport costs.
  8. Carrier Management: Work with carriers to add additional fleet and ensure efficient delivery of goods.
  9. Shipping Team Coordination: Coordinate with the shipping team on shipping-related issues, including EHS procedures and transit breakage complaints.
  10. Invoice Processing: Process transporters' invoices and submit purchase orders for payments, following up with finance for timely payments.
Requirements
  1. Organizational and Multitasking Skills: Possess strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple shipments and stakeholders.
  2. Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders and transporters.
  3. Transportation Regulations and Logistics Knowledge: Have in-depth knowledge of transportation regulations and logistics in the Middle East.
  4. Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Possess problem-solving and decision-making capabilities to resolve issues and make informed decisions.
  5. Attention to Detail: Demonstrate attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  6. Language Skills: Be proficient in English (writing and speaking) and have a preference for Arabic speakers.
  7. Experience: Have 3-4 years of experience in land transport.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Arabic Speaker: Preference given to Arabic speakers.
  2. Microsoft Office: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  3. Power BI Report Generation: Have skills in generating Power BI reports.
