A highly skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic is sought to provide maintenance and logistics support to various vehicle families worldwide. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of mechanical systems and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop new applications for electro-mechanical equipment and systems.
  2. Review contractor's standards and specifications to determine mechanical engineering requirements.
  3. Design, repair or review gas and diesel engines, simple mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, ventilation and/or instrumentation systems.
  4. Gather and correlate basic data to develop new applications or upgrade existing hardware.
  5. Guide technicians in fabrication and installation of simple mechanical and related equipment.
  6. Evaluate field installations and recommend design modifications to improve equipment or system function.
  7. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  1. US Citizenship required.
  2. 3+ years of qualified mechanical experience and a bachelor's degree in a related field, OR 7+ years of qualified mechanical experience and a trade school certification or associate degree in a related field, OR 10+ years of qualified mechanical experience.
  3. Prior training or maintenance experience on MRAP FOV systems.
  4. Familiarity with MRAP/RCV systems.
  5. Extensive maintenance support experience including operations, system troubleshooting, engineering, design, installation, analysis, maintenance and repair of U.S. systems and subsystems.
  6. Proficiency with a variety of hand tools, diagnostic tools, power tools, multi-meters.
  7. Experience applying industry and/or military standard troubleshooting procedures.
  8. Pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screening.
  9. Valid Driver's License for the location.
  10. High School Diploma or GED.
