Job Description

As a Network Defense Analyst at Abacus Technology, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive security services to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of sensitive information.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough assessments of system and network configurations to identify vulnerabilities and deviations from acceptable standards.
  • Measure the effectiveness of defense-in-depth architecture against known vulnerabilities using available tools within the organization.
  • Analyze, prioritize, and mitigate vulnerabilities to lower or eliminate risk.
  • Create detailed reports to effectively communicate findings and proposed solutions to government stakeholders.
  • Manage hardware devices on the network to ensure only authorized access and prevent unauthorized access.
  • Ensure that only authorized software is installed and executed, and prevent unauthorized software installation or execution.
  • Submit tickets to relevant teams for corrective actions.
  • Conduct/review/validate vulnerability scans, analyze results, identify false positives, exceptions, and create POA&Ms and/or MFRs as needed.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years experience in a cyber security or information assurance role.
  • HS diploma or GED.
  • Security+ certified.
  • Participated in training for DISA ACAS Supervisor and Operator and DISA Forescout Comply to Connect (C2C) Certified Administrator (FSCA).
  • Experience utilizing security relevant tools including: NESSUS, ACAS, DISA STIGs, Audit Tools, Forescout, and ESS.
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels of the organization.
  • Must be a US citizen and hold a current Top Secret clearance with SCI access (TS/SCI).
