Job Title: Site Architect

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Architect to join our team at ALAM Construction Company. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire construction site lifecycle, from tender point to delivery and post-delivery activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management:
    • Oversee the entire construction site lifecycle from tender point to delivery and post-delivery activities (snags and maintenance).
    • Supervise all subcontractors, including MEP, interior, and civil construction teams.
    • Conduct regular meetings with site supervisors and contractors to review progress and plan next steps.
    • Maintain maximum presence on-site to ensure thorough inspections and supervision.
  • Project Planning and Execution:
    • Develop and study detailed drawings, specifications, BOQs, as-built drawings, and tender documents.
    • Estimate resource requirements in alignment with target programs.
    • Ensure the design process adheres to current legislation and codes of practice.
  • Material and Labor Management:
    • Raise timely requests for the supply of materials and labor to meet project timelines.
    • Keep updated with market trends to stay informed about new solutions and materials.
  • Health and Safety:
    • Inspect and monitor health and safety hazards on-site.
  • Quality Control and Reporting:
    • Obtain and control periodical progress bills from subcontractors, certifying the quantity of work done.
    • Undertake snagging inspections upon practical completion and manage the rectification process for any defects.
    • Manage and produce accurate formal reports in accordance with business timetables.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Architecture with a site and technical background.
  • Experience: 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in managing construction sites. In-depth knowledge of interior designing project management, contractual, and commercial aspects. GCC experience is a must.
  • Skills: Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Primavera, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), and Microsoft Projects. Strong multitasking abilities, self-motivated, energetic team player with a flexible and adaptable approach. Effective communication skills in written and spoken English. Excellent motivational and leadership skills with the ability to present and evaluate ideas effectively.
