We are seeking a highly qualified Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team at the King Abdullah Petroleum Studies and Research Center (KAPSARC). As a member of our research team, you will have the opportunity to engage in cutting-edge research and contribute to the development of economic models that promote sustainable energy solutions.

Research Programs

1. Utilities & Renewables: We are seeking a postdoctoral researcher to support our research endeavors in the areas of power sector modeling, electricity sector regulatory topics, and emerging technologies.
2. Energy Macro & Microeconomics: This program aims to enhance expertise in CGE and DSGE modeling, as well as macroeconomic modeling as applied to energy-related issues.
3. Oil & Gas: We are seeking a postdoctoral researcher to specialize in oil markets, with a focus on supply and demand, upstream oil industry trends, and geopolitics.
4. Climate & Sustainability: This program seeks a postdoctoral researcher with a strong background in climate change policy and regulation, as well as economics associated with climate change.
5. Transport & Urban Infrastructure: We are seeking a postdoctoral researcher to conduct empirical research and policy analysis on governance models of urban infrastructure development and housing sufficiency.

Qualifications and Experience

• Ph.D. in Energy Economics, Public Policy, Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related fields.
• Strong knowledge is required in one or more of KAPSARC's areas of research, including energy policy, oil and gas markets, economics, renewables, transportation, climate, and sustainability.
• Demonstrated expertise in independent research, quantitative methods, qualitative methods, and hybrid methods, as well as relevant software tools and datasets.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.
