C4I Wire Communications Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled C4I Wire Communications Engineer to join our team at Dalma Tech2 in Saudi Arabia. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for advising and assisting management in all aspects of wire communications engineering.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide technical support to installation teams for the installation, operation, and maintenance of wire communications systems.
  2. Carry out maintenance of communication equipment, including preventative maintenance instructions and documentation of maintenance activities.
  3. Perform intermediate-level maintenance and troubleshooting of wire communications systems.
  4. Develop and deliver engineering training materials and conduct training as required.
  5. Participate in the evaluation of new communications technologies and provide recommendations for their application in a military environment.
  6. Perform other tasks assigned by management within the scope of wire communications engineering.

Requirements

  1. Shall have a minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering.
  2. Specialized training on various wire communications systems, including SDH, DWDM, PABX, and other associated sub-systems, is required.
  3. Must be proficient in the use of desktop computer software packages, particularly MS Office.
  4. Shall have a minimum of ten years of experience in installation, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of wire communications systems.
  5. Experience with OEMs or three years of experience supporting switched networks or equivalent environments is required.
  6. Must have hands-on experience with SDH and DWDM hardware and software, including installation, programming, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  7. Must be able to use technical orders, procedures, and schematics to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment down to line replaceable units.
  8. Must have experience in using system tests of built-in test equipment and tone input and measurement sets to verify system operation.
  9. Experience with cables, fiber optics, wiring, and terminations will be a plus.
  10. Must be able to perform transmission tests for video and data circuits using analog or digital facilities.
  11. Must be able to perform traffic analysis and provide management with advice to maintain high efficiency, availability, and grade of service.
