About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer to join our Olefins Operations team at SABIC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing practical solutions to day-to-day engineering operation problems, evaluating unit performance, and optimizing plant operation.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Review and audit material and energy balances to identify plant/process efficiency, yields, and losses.
  2. Prepare daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly production reports.
  3. Complete monthly closing in SAP.
  4. Carry out all SAP transactions, including purchase requisitions, purchase orders, good receipts, and service entry sheets.
  5. Ensure the unit is operated within operating design limits, product quality meets specifications, and corrective actions are taken for any quality deviations.
  6. Optimize unit parameters to achieve plant KPIs.
  7. Participate in technical studies, such as PHA, RCA, and feasibility studies for plant projects.
  8. Coordinate with supporting departments to resolve deficiencies, bottlenecks, and improve plant performance and reliability.
  9. Monitor and review sustainability parameters and provide technical solutions for deviations.
  10. Review technical reports, change proposals, and vendor reports for implementation towards improvements.
  11. Support the EHSS/quality coordinator in investigating quality incidents.
  12. Carry out inspection recommendations in a timely manner.
  13. Responsible for issuing and processing project-related PESR, e-TSR, and engineering requests, and communicating with vendors as applicable.
  14. Review and follow up on action items highlighted by the plant reliability team and address reliability issues.
  15. Verify PMP incidents and initiate report investigations as per incident classification.
  16. Participate in reliability studies (RBI, RCM, RIS) and implement recommendations in a timely manner.
  17. Coordinate to develop a plan for implementing capital items/projects.
  18. Initiate PRE requests, projects, and evaluate their feasibility, risk assessment reports, and MOC workflow as per SHEM-09 guidelines.
  19. Review SDS for all chemicals used in the area.
  20. Verify and review any Royal Commission violations and take corrective actions.
Requirements:

A Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering is required, with 5+ years of experience as a process/operation engineer in a petrochemical industry at Olefins plants.
