Job Description

This position is responsible for providing technical analysis and support for users and staff in support of the SEWS program. The successful candidate will have a strong background in systems administration, tactical combat operations, and GCCS.

Responsibilities

  1. Implement and configure the SEWS GCCS-J software and systems, including GCCS-J courseware development and providing SEWS specific GCCS-J Operator training to US and FMS personnel.
  2. Provide 24/7 on-call Tier 2 system support to identify and resolve hardware, software, and communication issues, document solutions, and develop recommendations to reduce the frequency of repairs.
  3. Maintain operational status of the SEWS GCCS-J suite across several sites in the country of assignment.
  4. Ensure the site network and data transport architecture is maintained to ensure timely delivery of data from CONUS to all sites.
  5. Configure and implement the SEWS software and systems, including relevant system administration functions.
  6. Perform SEWS system troubleshooting with reach back support from SEWS CONUS for more complex irregularity issue resolution.
  7. Act as liaison between the SEWS program office, contractors, and local customers to assist planning of sustainment trips by CONUS personnel.
  8. Maintain situational awareness of theater/country specific issues that could impact operations and travel.
  9. Collaborate with SEWS contractor and government personnel to plan routine and emergency trips.
  10. Respond to system outages to ensure issues are resolved per contract requirements.
  11. Support Emergency On-Site Sustainment (EOSS) travel to customer locations as required.
  12. Plan, develop, and conduct user training for existing and new staff.
  13. Utilize engineering skills to research, develop, test, and document solutions for Research & Test activities.
