About the Role

This senior design engineer position involves leading the design assurance of low voltage systems at various stages. The successful candidate will have strong knowledge in low voltage system design and specifications, as well as expertise in testing procedures for low voltage installations.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Design assurance for low voltage systems through all design stages (30%, 60%, 90%) as per approved guidelines
  2. Testing assurance for low voltage installations to ensure safety and performance standards are met
  3. Coordination of design activities with other engineering disciplines as part of an integrated design team
  4. Implementation of value engineering processes to identify cost-effective solutions and optimize project timelines
  5. Oversight of design activities for outsourced design packages, ensuring compliance with regulations
  6. Collaboration with the project delivery team and reporting on project-related activities
  7. Facilitation of the sharing of engineering learnings and best practices across projects
Key RequirementsQualifications
  • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related field
Experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in designing and managing low voltage systems projects
Essential Skills
  • Strong knowledge in low voltage system design and specifications
  • Expertise in testing procedures for low voltage installations
  • Proficiency in project management and value engineering techniques
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
  • Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental management practices
  • Understanding of relevant regulations
  • Experience with Building Information Modelling (BIM) is a plus
