About the Role

The Senior Design Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing the design and development of various projects, ensuring that they are delivered on time and meet the highest quality standards. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will be responsible for managing the entire design process from conceptualization to execution.

  • Lead and manage the design and construction process from inception to implementation for infrastructure and building project(s) comprising of various disciplines;
  • Collaborate closely with our development teams (architects and engineers), clients, contractors, and stakeholders to fully understand project requirements and create innovative design solutions that satisfy client requirements and fully satisfies local codes and standards;
  • Ensure smooth coordination with internal and external design teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality design documents and drawings, while making sure adherence to project timelines and meet our clients' high-quality standards;
Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have the following key responsibilities:

  • Design review and approval;
  • Quality assurance and control;
  • Project planning and scheduling;
  • Cost estimation and budgeting;
  • Resource allocation and management;
  • Client communication and reporting;
  • Team leadership and motivation;
  • Problem-solving and conflict resolution;
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A 4-year Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field;
  • An Engineering Master's degree is desirable;
  • Registration as a Chartered Civil Engineer or similar;
  • Minimum of 10 years of project management and design experience in managing the design and implementation of infrastructure and building engineering projects;
  • Strong knowledge of design principles, techniques, and best practices related to roads and transportation engineering;
  • Proficiency in using engineering design software and related tools;
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget;
