Job Overview:
The successful candidate will have expertise in designing and implementing production-grade data engineering solutions using Spark-based technologies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Engineering Expertise: Design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions that provide actionable insights to drive business decisions.

- Dataset Management: Leverage multiple large datasets to drive revenues via the development of new products with the Data Strategy team, as well as the enhanced delivery of existing products.

- Technical Skills: Familiarity with ETL Tools and Data Warehousing concepts with proficiency in SQL.

- Data Quality: Ensure data accuracy and integrity by implementing data quality checks and validation processes.
- Business Analysis: Analyze complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business strategies.
- Performance Optimization: Optimize existing BI solutions for performance and usability.
- Cloud Platforms: Utilize cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) to design and implement BI solutions.
- Industry Trends: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in business intelligence and data analytics.
- User Support: Provide training and support to end-users on BI tools and reports.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in data engineering or a related data role, with a proven track record of leading projects and initiatives.
- Expertise in designing and implementing production-grade Spark-based solutions.
- Expertise in query tuning, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and debugging Spark or other big data solutions.
- Proficient in big data technologies such as Spark/Delta, Hadoop, NoSQL, MPP, and OLAP.
- Proficient in cloud architecture, systems, and principles, particularly in AWS.
- Proficient in programming languages such as Python, R, Scala, or Java.
- Expertise in scaling ETL pipelines for performance and cost-effectiveness.
- Experience in building and scaling streaming data pipelines.
- Strong understanding of DevOps tools and best practices for data engineering, including CI/CD, unit and integration testing, automation, and orchestration.
