Gardemanger Assistant

We are currently seeking a Gardemanger Assistant to join our Food and Beverage team at Holiday Inn. As a key member of the Gardemanger department, you will be responsible for assisting the Chef Gardemanger in the preparation of cold foods, sauces, and dressings.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in food preparation and presentation, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will work closely with the kitchen team to ensure that all dishes meet our high standards of quality and presentation.

• Key Responsibilities:
• Assist the Chef Gardemanger in preparing cold foods, sauces, and dressings.
• Measure and mix ingredients according to standard recipes to prepare sauces, dressings, cold soups, and salads.
• Boil and/or steam food such as shrimps, prawns, lobsters, potatoes, peas, and carrots for use in the Cold Kitchen.
• Cut, trim, and slice boiled fish, meat, chicken, and vegetables to prepare salads.
• Prepare mise-en-place as requested.
