About the Role

We are looking for a highly experienced Lead Islamic Finance Specialist to join our team at IsDB. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading Awqaf initiatives, developing and implementing Awqaf strategies, business plans, and financial budgets, and ensuring sustained revenue generation.

The role requires identifying opportunities, managing innovative Awqaf compliant products and services, and collaborating with internal units to improve policies related to Islamic Finance Investments. The job holder will also build networks for best practices in project management, conduct and market Awqaf investments, and conceptualize and manage the development of innovative and differentiated Awqaf compliant products, services, and solutions.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain close relationships with MC and non-MC governments, regulators, and other stakeholders to engage and advise them on Awqaf matters, supporting the development and promotion of the Awqaf sector.
  • Assess Awqaf issues for all new products and services being launched by the IsDB to ascertain the minimization of Islamic Development Bank Group's (IDBGs) exposure to Awqaf-related risks.
